Notice of Intention to Destroy Public Records
PURSUANT to section 17 of the Archives Act 1957, notice is hereby given of intention to destroy the following public records:
Army Department—Court Martial Files
(a) World War I: All files except where sentence of death was imposed.
(b) World War II: All files except those where sentence of two years or more was imposed.
Any person may, within one month after the date of publication of this notice, lodge with the Acting Secretary for Internal Affairs, Wellington, an objection to the destruction of the records specified above, stating therein the grounds of his objection. Such objections will be dealt with in accordance with section 18 of the Archives Act 1957.
