Pursuant to the Fisheries Act 1908, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints the person named in the Schedule hereto to be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act 1908, to hold office until the 31st day of March 1962.

Appointing a Supervising Officer Under the Motor Launch Regulations 1958

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950 and the Motor Launch Regulations 1958, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints

to be a supervising officer under the said regulations in respect of those waters fronting Eastern Beach, Waitemata Harbour.

Appointment of Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph

Pursuant to section 183 of the Post and Telegraph Act 1928, the Minister of Telegraphs hereby declares that the officers whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto are authorised to sign certificates of the service of telegraphic copies of notices for the purposes of sections 179 to 184 of that Act, and hereby appoints those officers to be transmitting officers and receiving officers, at the addresses specified after their names in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of those sections and of the regulations for the time being in force under that Act relating to the service of notices by telegraph.*

Appointment of Members of Cinematograph Films Appeal Board

Pursuant to the Cinematograph Films and Posters (Censorship and Registration) Regulations 1956, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints

Archibald Albany McLachlan, Stipendiary Magistrate, of Lower Hutt,

to be a member and Chairman, and

Mrs Barbara Reid, O.B.E., of Wellington; and
Charles Gilbert White, Esquire, O.B.E., of Wellington,

to be members of the Board of Appeal under the above regulations for a term of office to expire on 31 May 1962.

Licensing Alert Towing Co. Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Henderson Creek, Auckland, as a Site for a Landing Place

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Alert Towing Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Henderson Creek, Auckland, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10625 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a landing place as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions as set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of July 1959.
  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).
  4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said landing place shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at some other place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Licensing the Chatham Islands County Council to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Pitt Island, Chatham Islands, as a Site for a Wharf

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Chatham Islands County Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Pitt Island, Chatham Islands, as shown on plan marked M.D. 6242 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The annual sum payable by the licensee shall be one shilling (1s.) payable on demand.
  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 27th day of May 1959.
  4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, Subject to a Building-line Restriction

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 8th day of July 1959, subject to the building-line restriction contained in K. 67771, Auckland Land Registry.
