A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 9th day of February 1959.

Declaring an Area in the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation District for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District situated in Block III, Clive Survey District, commencing at the most western corner of Section 9, Block III, Clive Survey District; thence north-easterly generally by right lines bearing 33° 03′ distance 171·3 links, bearing 30° 03′ distance 385·4 links, bearing 49° 41′ 30″ distance 299·9 links, bearing 57° 35′ 10″ distance 3336·3 links, bearing 72° 02′ distance 228·2 links, bearing 89° 05′ 20″ distance 602·9 links, bearing 80° 38′ distance 512·2 links; thence south-easterly and south-westerly generally by right lines bearing 150° 06′ distance 93·0 links, bearing 207° 37′ 30″ distance 158·66 links, bearing 205° 20′ distance 182·34 links, bearing 192° 21′ 40″ distance 319·68 links, bearing 195° 10′ distance 85·08 links, bearing 211° 10′ 50″ distance 151·1 links, bearing 209° 22′ 50″ distance 142·29 links, bearing 211° 29′ 20″ distance 202·3 links, bearing 210° 57′ 10″ distance 55·39 links, bearing 230° 05′ 20″ distance 59·28 links, bearing 330° 07′ distance 37·25 links, bearing 240° 05′ distance 103·3 links to a point on the bank of a backwater of the Tukituki River; thence south-westerly along that bank to the southern side of Lot 2, D.P. 6229, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence westerly by a right line bearing 269° 45′ distance 97·3 links; thence south-westerly by a right line bearing 251° to the north-eastern side of the Mangateretere - Te Awanga Main Highway; thence north-westerly along that road side to a point bearing 220° 40′ distance 277·1 links from the most western corner of Section 9, Block III, Clive Survey District; thence north-easterly along that line to the western corner of Section 9, Block III, Clive Survey District, being the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked I.A. 52/304 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

PURSUANT to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

THE number of members of the Rangitaiki Drainage Board to be elected at the first general election of members of that Board shall be seven.

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access way described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland and be under the control and management of the Auckland City Council.
