Declaring Lands in Westland and Otago Land Districts Vested in the Canterbury and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Canterbury Education Board and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 1822, situated in Block X, Waimea Survey District: Area, 1 rood 29·9 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 4317.)

Also part Rural Section 213 (also known as Reserve 346), situated in Block XIII, Kaniere Survey District: Area, 1 acre, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 21, folio 247. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1267A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
SECTIONS 69, 70, and 71, Town of Port Chalmers: Area, 3 roods, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 20, folio 197.
Also Lot A, D.P. 1742, being part Sections 52 and 53, Town of Port Chalmers: Area, 33·4 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 139, folio 224, together with the appurtenant right of way over part Lot B, D.P. 1742, created by transfer No. 39698.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a Maori school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of August 1959.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of Crown land containing 2 acres 1 rood 25·7 perches, situated in Block IX, Rotoma Survey District, Auckland R.D., being Tautara 21A 3 Block, as shown on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland as No. M.L. 17932.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 7th day of August 1959.
