south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, all as shown on D.P.
18208 aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of the last-
mentioned lot; thence south-easterly generally along the
northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 17182, and part Lot 3,
D.P. 1125, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
to the middle of the Rerewhakaaitu River and down the
middle of that river to the sea coast; thence south-westerly
along the sea coast and northerly and westerly generally
along the shore of Palliser Bay to a point in line with the
northern boundary of Orongorongo A 1, being the point of
commencement.

At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of
July 1959
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Palmerston Rabbit
District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette. - The boundaries of the Palmerston Rabbit District, which
was constituted by Order in Council on the 27th day of October
1954,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the
commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said dis-
trict shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE PALMERSTON RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District and in the Counties
of Waihemo and Waitaki and the Borough of Palmerston
containing 61,900 acres, more or less, and bounded as
follows:
Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 2,
Block XV, Moeraki Survey District; thence generally south-
easterly along the south-western boundary of Waitaki County
as described in Gazette, 1958, page 1086, to the south-western
corner of Section 5, Block XI, Moeraki Survey District;
thence easterly along the southern boundary of the said
Section 5, to the western side of a public road; thence south-
westerly and south-easterly along the western side of that road
through Sections 31 and 46, Block XI, aforesaid, to its junc-
tion with Horse Range Road; thence to and north-easterly
along the south-eastern boundary of that road to the western-
most corner of Lot 1A, D.P. 2024; thence generally south-
easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lot 1A, D.P.
2024 and Lots A and B, D.P. 2173, to the western boundary of
Section 46, Block II, Moeraki Survey District; thence north-
erly along the western boundary of that Section 46 and easterly
along its northern boundary and its production to the sea
coast; thence generally south-westerly along the sea coast to
the mouth of Stony Creek; thence generally north-westerly along
the right bank of that creek to and along a public road through
Sections 11, 10, 8, 7, and 4, Block I, Hawksbury Survey Dis-
trict, and through Sections 1 of 64, 2 of 63, 1 of 63, 1 of 62,
and 1 of 61, Block IV, Moeraki Survey District, to the Borough
of Palmerston; thence westerly and northerly along the south-
ern and western boundaries of the Borough of Palmerston to
Taieri Peak Road; thence generally westerly along the southern
side of that road to the western boundary of Moeraki Survey
District; thence northerly along that boundary to and westerly
along the southern boundary of Section 6, Block I, Dunback
Survey District, and northerly along the western boundary of
that section to and across a public road; thence generally
north-westerly along that road to the boundary of Block I,
Dunback Survey District; thence north-easterly along that block
boundary to and westerly and northerly along the southern and
western boundaries of Section 19, Block V, Dunback Survey
District, to the northern boundary of the said Block V; thence
westerly and north-westerly along the southern and south-
western boundaries of Section 2, Block VII, to the north-western
boundary of Block VII, Dunback Survey District; thence south-
westerly along that block boundary to Stoneburn Road;
thence generally north-westerly along Stoneburn Road to the
north-western boundary of Block X, Dunback Survey District;
thence generally north-easterly along the north-western bound-
aries of Blocks X and XI, and south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of Block XI, to the southern corner of Section
4, Block III, Dunback Survey District; thence north-easterly
along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 4, 3, and 2
and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section
2, Block III, aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of Section
9, Block II, Dunback Survey District; thence easterly and
south-easterly along the northern and north-eastern boundaries
of Section 9 to McDonald Road; thence generally southerly
along that road to the north-eastern boundary of Block
III aforesaid and south-easterly along that boundary and
easterly along the southern boundary of Block II to the
Waihemo River; thence generally easterly along the centre of
that river to and generally north-easterly along the south-
eastern boundaries of Sections 23 and 20, across Park Hill
Road and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 16,
Block XV, Moeraki Survey District, situated in Makaraec
Settlement, to the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Block XV,
Moeraki Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along
the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 4 and the
south-eastern boundaries of Sections 9 and 2, Block XV, afore-
said, to the point of commencement.

is granted an extension of his present commission until
May 1963.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointments
Walter Alan Carpinter, B.SC., is granted a commission in
the Air Training Corps in the rank of Flying Officer, with
seniority from 28 February 1958, with effect from 23 October
1958.
The under-mentioned are granted commissions in the Air
Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and
with effect from the dates shown:
