Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Whangarei County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangarei, in trust, for that purpose.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALLOTMENT 210, Ruakaka Parish, situated in Block XI, Ruakaka Survey District: Area, 11 acres 2 roods 25 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 41469.)

Kaitaia Drainage Area—Notice of Making and Levying General Rates

PURSUANT to the Swamp Drainage Act 1915 and its amendments, the Minister of Lands does hereby make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, a general rate described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area outside the Kaitaia Town District, the general rates described in the Second Schedule hereto, to meet maintenance costs for the period from 1 April 1959 to 31 March 1960.

The amount of such rates, together with the amount of the annually recurring special rates already made and levied, will be payable in one sum on 31 August 1959.

The rate book of the area will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Lands and Survey Department, Kaitaia, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

FIRST SCHEDULE

TOWN SUBDIVISION

ON the unimproved value of all lands within the Kaitaia Town District, forty-two one-hundredths of a penny (0·42d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE

RURAL SUBDIVISION

Class A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, fifty pence and sixty-two one-hundredths of a penny (50·62d.) in the pound.

Class B—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, seventeen pence and seventy-two one-hundredths of a penny (17·72d.) in the pound.

Class C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, sevenpence and fifty-nine one-hundredths of a penny (7·59d.) in the pound.

Hauraki Plains Drainage District—Notice of Making and Levying General Rates

PURSUANT to the Hauraki Plains Act 1926, the Minister of Lands does hereby make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1959 to 31 March 1960, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 31 August 1959.

The rate book of the district will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the Land Drainage Office of the Ministry of Works at Paeroa, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE

Class A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the appraiser appointed under the said Act, fivepence and eighty-four one-hundredths of a penny (5·84d.) in the pound.

Class B—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, threepence and thirty-four one-hundredths of a penny (3·34d.) in the pound.

Class C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, eighty-four one-hundredths of a penny (0·84d.) in the pound.

Licensing the Albertland Cooperative Dairy Co. Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of the Te Hana River as a Site for a Pipeline

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Albertland Cooperative Dairy Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called the company, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the bed of the Te Hana River as shown on plan marked M.D. 10610 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a pipeline as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The premium payable by the company shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable three pounds (£3).

  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from 1st day of August 1959.

Licensing the Nelson Harbour Board to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Mapua, Waimea River, as a Site for a Wharf

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Nelson Harbour Board (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Mapua, Waimea River, as shown on plans marked M.D. 4773, 5407, and 10097, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto, with the exception of clause 21 of the regulations, which for the purposes of this licence is hereby excluded.

  2. The annual sum payable by the licensee shall be one shilling (1s.) payable on demand.

  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 23rd day of July 1959.

  4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Licensing Barrier Whaling Co. Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Whangaparapara Harbour, Great Barrier Island, as a Site for a Mooring Block

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Barrier Whaling Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Whangaparapara Harbour, Great Barrier Island, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10627 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a mooring block as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions as set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of August 1959.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).
