TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Fire Engine Loan (1959), £4,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000) authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire engine, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal nought eight nine pence (0·089d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on 6 July 1959.

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 (three thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Amuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of a workers dwelling, the said Amuri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·023 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the Amuri County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Amuri County Council held on 5 June 1959.

CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957
———

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, the Christchurch Prison Gate Mission (Incorporated) passed and confirmed in general meetings of its members the following resolution on 28 May 1959 and 30 June 1959 respectively:

“It is hereby resolved that the Christchurch Prison Gate Mission (Incorporated) be wound up voluntarily and that on its winding up an application be made to the Court to have all surplus assets after payment of all costs, debts, and liabilities transferred to the new body the South Island Prisoners’ Rehabilitation Association Incorporated.”

This notice is filed by Robert Whaley Edgley, solicitor, whose address for service is at 84 Worcester Street, Christchurch.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, or through the Chief Post Office at Dunedin.

Free Postage: All Publications sold by the Department are now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
