Appointing a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust


WHEREAS, by a Warrant dated 4 February 1946 and published in Gazette, 14 February 1946, Volume I, page 219, Arthur Gordon Elliott, Esquire, then Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Dunedin, was appointed a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust.

And whereas the said Arthur Gordon Elliott has retired from the Public Service and has left the district:

And whereas it is considered expedient to appoint another Commissioner to the said Taieri River Trust in lieu of the said Arthur Gordon Elliott;

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 3 of the Taieri River Improvement Act 1920, the Minister of Works hereby cancels the appointment of the said Arthur Gordon Elliott, and hereby appoints

George Kerr McPherson, Esquire, Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Dunedin,

to be a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust.

Dated at Wellington this 2nd day of July 1959.
