PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the district valuation roll for the Chatham Islands shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at 1 July 1959.

The Manurewa Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1959

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the Manurewa Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1959.
- The constitution of the Board of Governors for Manurewa Post-primary School, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
(b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General;
(d) One member appointed by the Manurewa Borough Council;
(e) Three members elected by the members of the School Committees of the Manurewa Public School, the Manurewa South Public School, the Takanini Public School, the Homai Public School, and the Brookby Public School;
(f) One member to be co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit:
Provided that, until the school is opened and the election of members by the parents of the pupils attending the school is held, the school shall be controlled by a Board consisting of the other members. - The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (e) of clause 2 of this order applies.

Partial Revocation of Order in Council Vesting Land Owned by Maoris in the Maori Trustee for Non-payment of Rates

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 63 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule hereto in so far as it affects the land mentioned in Part II of the said Schedule.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 27th day of March 1957 and published in the Gazette on the 28th day of the same month at page 540, authorising Leicester John Murray, of Wharanui, farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.

Authorising the Westland Electric Power Board to Construct Electric Works

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of July 1959
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Westland Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board), subject to the conditions herein-after set forth, to construct electric works within the Westland Electric Power District as defined in the Proclamations specified in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
- The Board shall not construct or use any electric line until it has obtained a licence therefor under section 319 of the Public Works Act 1928.
- The Board shall not use water for the purpose of generating electricity or construct any work in connection therewith until it has obtained a licence therefor under section 319 of the Public Works Act 1928.
- Any conditions inserted in any such licences as aforesaid shall be strictly complied with by the Board.
- The Board shall forward for the information of the Minister of Electricity such further plans and particulars as the Minister may from time to time require.
- In respect of the works hereby authorised, the Board shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Water Power Regulations 1934, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to the Westland Electric Power Board by Kanieri Electric Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) of the rights, powers, and privileges under the Orders in Council specified in the Schedule hereto, authorising the licensee to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines.
