AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridge Replacement Loan 1959, £7,840

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments thereto, the Akaroa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,740 authorised to be raised by the Akaroa County Council under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of replacing two bridges, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought four one of a penny (·041d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Akaroa; such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is wholly paid off.”

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

AN ACT TO AMEND THE TRUSTEES, EXECUTORS, AND AGENCY CO. ACT 1882

NOTICE is hereby given that the Trustees, Executors, and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd. intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives, at the present session, a Private Bill the short title of which is the Trustees, Executors, and Agency Co. Amendment Act 1959.

The object of the proposed Bill is to amend section 14 of the Trustees, Executors, and Agency Company Act 1882 to provide that, in the event of the company altering the nominal value of the shares constituting its share capital, the liability of members of the company to contribute on a winding up of the company shall be correspondingly altered.

The Bill is promoted by the Trustees, Executors, and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd., whose address for service is at the offices of Messrs J. S. Sinclair, Gibson, and Turnbull, Solicitors, Queens Buildings, Princes Street, Dunedin.

A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the above address.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
