WAIOA BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953 AND AMENDMENTS

Objections to Amendments to the Wairoa District Scheme

THE Wairoa Borough Council hereby gives notice that the hearing of objections to amendments made to the district scheme relating to the Wairoa Borough will commence at the Municipal Chambers, Coronation Square, Wairoa, at 10 a.m. on Monday, the 27th day of July 1959, and will continue as there arranged from time to time and place to place until all objectors and witnesses have been heard.

All persons who wish to be heard in support of or opposition to any objection shall notify the Council accordingly at least three days before that date.

The following is a summary of the subject-matters of objections received by the Council:

(1) Richard Martin: Objecting to the Council showing his land part Town Section 411 as a proposed access way between Marine Parade and Queen Street.

(2) Mr Roy J. F. Thomson: Objecting to the Council showing a proposed street over his land Town Section 153, Lucknow Street.

(3) Norman J. Smith: Objecting to the provision that as his section is being shown as Industrial A he will not be able to make additions to his house.

Objections are open to inspection by residents of the Borough.

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading and Drainage Loan 1958 of £45,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £45,000, known as the Roading and Drainage Loan 1958 of £45,000, for the purpose of reconstructing streets, reconditioning carriageways, and installing sewer and stormwater drainage in the borough, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought three six four (·0364d.) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 21st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Given under the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert this 16th day of June 1959.

FOXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to section 47 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Foxton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Foxton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for erection of pensioner flats, the said Foxton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0012d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Foxton comprising the whole of the borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of July and the 31st day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000, being the second portion of a loan of £50,000, authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act (which said loan is the second issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1958 of £200,000) for the purpose of the reconstruction and surface sealing of streets, the construction of footpaths, kerbing, and channelling, the provision of stormwater drains and the completion of an asphalt plant, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three over sixty-four parts of a penny (³/₆₄d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on 15 June 1959.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Normandale Sewerage Loan, No. 2 (1959), £36,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-six thousand pounds (£36,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing sewer drainage in the Normandale area, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and five thousandths of a penny (0·305d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 25th day of May 1959.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Normandale Water Supply Loan 1959, £33,500

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-three thousand five hundred pounds (£33,500) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing water reticulation in the Normandale area, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and eighty-four thousandths of a penny (0·284d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 25th day of May 1959.
