Authorising the Laying Off of a Street off Karaka Street in
the City of Wanganui, Subject to a Condition as to the
Building Line

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of
June 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal-Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Wanganui City Council to permit the laying off of the
proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for
part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 40 ft,
subject to the condition that no building or part of a
building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1, 2, and 6
of a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan
marked P.W.D. 159100 referred to in the said Schedule or on
that part of Lot 5 of the said subdivision as is comprised in
Lots 457 and 458, D.P. 3060, within a distance of 15 ft from
the side lines of the said street.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

THAT proposed street in the City of Wanganui containing by
admeasurement 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being part
Lots 456, 457, 458, and 459, D.P. 3060, being part Section
227, Right Bank Wanganui River; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159100 de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.

of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land
described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a county
depot and store site.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 5 perches, situated in
Block X, Waitemata Survey District, Auckland R.D., and
being part Lot 2, D.P. 44747, being part John Brighams
Claim and part Section 1; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159249 (S.O. 41159)
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured yellow.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Christchurch, Subject to
Certain Easements, Under the Public Works Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land
described in the Schedule hereto, subject, however, to the
sewage and stormwater drainage easements created in and by
memorandum of transfer No. 494644, and to the water-pipe
easement created in and by memorandum of transfer No.
494645, Canterbury Registry, such land being no longer
required for the public work for which it was taken.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 2 roods 5Β·6 perches, more
or less, situated in the City of Christchurch, being Rural
Section 38618, and being all the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 754, folio 100, Canterbury
Registry.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following
order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Tinui Rabbit
    District Order 1959.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The boundaries of the Tinui Rabbit District, which was
    constituted by Order in Council on the 28th day of June
    1950,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the
    commencement of this order the boundaries of the said
    district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE TINUI RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by
a line commencing at a point in Block VII, Otahoua Survey
District, being the northernmost corner of Section 605,
Whareama District, and being a point on the boundary of
the Tinui Rabbit District as described in the Gazette, 1950,
at page 829; thence westerly along the southern side of the
Masterton-Castlepoint via Tinui Main Highway to its junction
with the Masterton-Weber via Alfredton Main Highway;
then northerly along that highway to the northern boundary
of Section 113, Rangitumau Block; thence easterly along the
northern boundary of that section, the western and north-
eastern boundaries of Section 114 and the north-eastern
boundary of Section 210, all of Rangitumau Block, to the
south-eastern boundary of part Section 118, as shown on the
plan numbered A 345, lodged in the office of the District
Land Registrar at Wellington; thence northerly along that
boundary to and along Cleland’s Road to a point in line with
the western boundary of Section 112, Rangitumau Block, to
and along that boundary and the western boundary of Section
111, Rangitumau Block, to its northernmost corner; thence
south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that
section, across Mangarai Road and along the north-eastern
boundary of Section 211 to the westernmost corner of Section
141, Rangitumau Block; thence north-easterly generally along
the north-western boundaries of that section and Section 140,
the south-eastern, south-western, and north-western boundaries
of Section 19, the north-western and north-eastern boundaries
of Section 20, and the north-western boundaries of Sections
21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, all of Rangitumau Block, to the north-
ernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-
easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Section 25
aforesaid, and Section 26, Rangitumau Block, to the eastern-
most corner of the last-mentioned section, and along a right
line to the northernmost corner of Section 148, Whareama
Block; thence southerly generally along the north-western
boundaries of that section and Section 149, Whareama Block,
to and along the northern boundary of Section 225, Whareama
Block, and its production to the middle of the Tauaru River;
thence north-easterly up the middle of that river to a point
in line with the northern boundary of Section 824, Whareama
Block; thence easterly to and along that boundary to the
western boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered
9604 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar
at Wellington, being a point on the boundary of the Tinui
Rabbit District described as aforesaid; thence south-westerly
generally along the boundary of the Tinui Rabbit District
to the northernmost corner of Section 605, Whareama District,
being the point of commencement.
