The Kakahu Rural Fire District Order 1959

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day of June 1959

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Kakahu Rural Fire District Order 1959.

  2. This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  3. The area specified in the Schedule to this order is hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Kakahu Rural Fire District.

  4. The trees and other plants on State forest land situated in the said area are hereby specified as the property for the protection of which the district is constituted.

  5. The Kakahu Rural Fire District shall, for the purposes of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, be administered by the Minister of Forests.

  6. The period between the 1st day of September in any year and the 30th day of April in the following year is hereby specified and declared to be a closed fire season in the said district.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY

Kakahu Rural Fire District

ALL that area in Geraldine County containing approximately 7,600 acres, situated in Blocks VI, VII, X, and XI, Opihi Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-west generally by the western side of Mullvihills Road and the north-western side of Beautiful Valley Road; towards the south-west and north-west by the south-western and north-western sides of McIntosh’s Road; towards the north by Rural Section 36100 and by a right line from the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 33203 to “Waitohi Hill” Trig. Station; towards the east generally by a right line from the aforesaid trig. station to the north-western corner of Rural Section 29554, thence by Rural Section 29554 and part Rural Section 23525 and the crossing of Capes Valley Road, thence by the south-eastern side of Capes Valley Road and by the eastern side of Kakahu Bush Road; and towards the south generally by the southern sides of the Kakahu Valley Road and Coles Road, as shown on plan No. 160/8 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Road in Blocks I and V, Patetere South Survey District, Matamata County, to be County Road

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of June 1959

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that portion of road situated in Blocks I and V, Patetere South Survey District, Matamata County, commencing at the north-western corner of Section 2, Block I, Patetere South Survey District, and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 127 chains and terminating at the south-eastern corner of Section 3, Block V, Patetere South Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159262 (S.O. 38754) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portions of Road in the Mangonui County to be County Road

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of June 1959

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council become county road.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that portion of road situated in Block IV, Ahipara Survey District, Mangonui County, Auckland R.D., commencing on the northernmost corner of Section 158 of the aforesaid Block IV and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 11 chains and terminating at the westernmost corner of Section 170 of the aforesaid Block IV.

Also all that portion of road situated in Block IV, Ahipara Survey District, Mangonui County, Auckland R.D., commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 177 of the aforesaid Block IV and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 10 chains and terminating at the southernmost corner of Section 184 of the aforesaid Block IV.

Also all that portion of road situated in Block IV, Ahipara Survey District, Mangonui County, Auckland R.D., commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 160 of the aforesaid Block IV and proceeding thence in an easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 2½ chains and terminating at the southernmost corner of Section 160 of the aforesaid Block IV.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159237 (S.O. 40627) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B, C-D, and E-F respectively.

Declaring Service Lanes and an Access Way to be Vested in and to be Under the Control and Management of the Kawerau Town Commissioner

At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of June 1959

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the service lanes described in the First Schedule hereto and the access way described in the Second Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in and be under the control and management of the Kawerau Town Commissioner.

ALL those pieces of land situated in the Borough of Kawerau described as follows:
