Proclaiming a Tribal District Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 6 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal district for the purposes of the said Act and do hereby assign to the said district the name “Waitara Tribal District”.
SCHEDULE
WAITARA TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL the area being the Borough of Waitara as described in the Gazette of 1928 at page 3157.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 8th day of June 1959.

Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Southland Land Districts Vested in the Auckland and Southland Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Southland Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALLOTMENT 241, Mangawhai Parish, situated in Block III, Mangawhai Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 5323A.)

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 11 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1955, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that as from the 16th day of July 1959 the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be vested in Her Majesty as Crown land subject to the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

If at any time before the 16th day of July 1964 the registered proprietor, or licensee, or any other person having any estate or interest in any land to which this Proclamation relates, adduces satisfactory evidence of his title or interest thereto, he shall be entitled to claim compensation for his interest therein as provided by subsection (4) of section 11 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1955.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the development of water power (Roxburgh Power Scheme: Lake Hawea Control); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of June 1959.
