The Ruapehu College Board of Governors Order 1959, Amendment No. 1

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 2nd day of June 1959
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Ruapehu College Board of Governors Order 1959, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Ruapehu College Board of Governors Order 1959* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).
  2. The principal order is hereby amended by omitting from subclause (2) of clause 1 the word “June”, and substituting the word “September”.

Constituting the Peninsula Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 6761)

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby constitutes and declares the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection (1) of section 14 of the Rabbits Act 1955 applies, a rabbit district, and appoints that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Peninsula Rabbit District, and orders that the basis on which the rabbit board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.

BOUNDARIES OF THE PENINSULA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing 23,000 acres, more or less, being all of Peninsula County as described in the Gazette, 1956, page 533.

Amending an Order in Council Authorising William Grant Jamieson, of Lake Brunner, Hotelkeeper, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Grey

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of November 1954 and published in the Gazette on the 4th day of the same month at page 1726, authorising William Grant Jamieson, of Lake Brunner, Hotelkeeper, to erect and use certain electric lines in the County of Grey, by deleting the Schedule thereto and substituting the following Schedule therefor:

“SCHEDULE
“LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee’s generator situated in Section 3671, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction generally across a stream and a road to certain cottages situated in Section 2032, all being situated in Block XI, Hohonu Survey District, in the County of Grey; the said lines being more particularly shown by means of green lines on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 511 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.”

Reapportioning Representation on the Westland Electric Power Board and Revoking a Previous Order in Council

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 2nd day of June 1959
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby determines as follows:

  1. This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the next general election of the representatives of the constituent districts of the Westland Electric Power District.
  2. The constituent districts of the Westland Electric Power District which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a combined district for the purposes of the said Act.
  3. The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authority of the said combined district.
  4. The number of representatives of each constituent district of the Westland Electric Power District and of the said combined district on the Westland Electric Power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district and the said combined district.
  5. The first election of the representatives of the Borough of Hokitika and of the said combined district shall be held on the date of the said next general election.
  6. The Order in Council dated the 23rd day of March 1950 and published in the Gazette on the 20th day of April 1950 at page 464, reapportioning representation on the Westland Electric Power Board, is hereby revoked.

Amending Order in Council Making Provision for the Control and Management of Certain Wharves at Picton Vested in the Picton Borough Council

PURSUANT to section 46 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders as follows:

  1. This order may be cited as the Picton Borough Wharves Amending Order 1959.
  2. The Second Schedule to the Picton Borough Wharves Order 1928* as substituted by the Picton Borough Wharves Amending Order 1956† and amended by the Picton Borough Wharves Amending Order 1957‡, is hereby further amended:
    (a) By omitting from Part II—Wharfage Dues, the words “Empty return milk cans, and bread-boxes—(free)”, and substituting the words “Empty return milk and cream cans, empty bottles, crates or containers, bread boxes, grocery cartons, empty coal sacks, and medicine for human consumption or use—(free)”:
    (b) By adding to Part II—Wharfage Dues, the words “Tools of trade up to 1 cwt in weight accompanying workmen—(free)”:
    (c) By omitting from Part III—Passenger Tolls, the words “On round trips commencing and returning to the said wharves for each 10s. or part of 10s. charged the passenger for the trip—6d.”, and substituting the words “On round trips commencing and returning to the said wharves, per passenger—6d.”
