WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE IN CONNECTION WITH THE WELLINGTON CITY STREET WORKS LOAN 1959, OF £200,000

Resolution Making Special Rate

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 13th day of May 1959:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000) to be known as the Wellington City Street Works Loan 1959 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of upgrading roads on the Brooklyn, Mornington, and Aro Street transport routes, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of eighty-seven eight-hundredths of a penny (87/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £120,000 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of widening, reconstructing, metalling, sealing, kerbing, and channelling streets, constructing and paving footways and providing for the disposal of stormwater, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five hundred and thirty-three one thousands of a penny (0·533d.) in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property within the City of Gisborne, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Gisborne City Council at an ordinary meeting held on the 5th day of May 1959.

HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1959, £6,400

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,400 authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of eight pensioners’ flats within the City of Hamilton, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes a special rate of nine-thousandths of a penny (0·009d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value, unimproved, of all rateable property within the City of Hamilton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hamilton City Council held on the 8th day of April 1959.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS

The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

Free Postage: All Publications sold by the Department are now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.

All references to postage in previous lists, catalogues, etc., should be amended accordingly.
