Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Southland Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of the notice dated 19 July 1930 and published in the Gazette, 24 July 1930, Volume II, page 2232, and the notice dated 29 January 1931 and published in the Gazette, 5 February 1931, Volume I, page 228.

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 20 February 1930, and published in the Gazette, 13 March 1930, Volume I, page 755.

Lands Declared to be a Stock Control Area for the Purposes of the Stock Diseases Regulations 1937 (Notice No. Ag. 6733)
PURSUANT to regulation 2A of the Stock Diseases Regulations 1937, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby declares the area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a stock control area for the purposes of the said regulations.
SCHEDULE
STOCK CONTROL AREA
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western shore of Palliser Bay and being also a point in the mouth of Corner Creek; thence north-westerly to Mount Matthews; thence north-easterly generally along the summit of the Rimutaka Range, across the Wellington-Masterton State Highway at its summit and along the summit of the Tararua Range to Mount Ruapai; thence easterly by a line approximately 95 degrees east to the junction of Falkner Road and the Woodville-Masterton State Highway at Kaiparoro; thence north-easterly by a line west of the Woodville-Masterton State Highway to the junction of No. 1 South Road and the Woodville-Masterton State Highway; thence north-easterly by a line west of the Woodville-Masterton State Highway to the junction of Mangaoranga Road and the Woodville-Masterton State Highway; thence easterly by a line south of the Eketahuna-Alfredton Main Highway to the junction of the Mangaone Valley Main Highway and the Eketahuna-Alfredton Main Highway; thence easterly by a line north of the Eketahuna-Alfredton Main Highway to a point on the Masterton-Weber via Alfredton Main Highway approximately a half mile north of the Township of Alfredton; thence easterly by a line approximately 105 degrees east to the Pukeamuku Trigonometrical Station; thence south-easterly by a line to a point in the mouth of the Mataikona River; thence south-westerly generally along the sea coast and the shore of Palliser Bay to a point in the mouth of Corner Creek being the point of commencement and excluding therefrom all that area known as Infected Area No. 1 situated at or near the Boroughs of Masterton and Carterton and bounded towards the south-west from the Ruamahanga River to the Wellington-Masterton State Highway, by Kokotau Road, Woodlands Road, Nixs Road, Carters Line, and Somerset Road; towards the north-west from Somerset Road to the junction of Solway Crescent and Manaiia Road, by the Wellington-Masterton State Highway; towards the north-east from Solway Crescent to South Road, by Manaiia Road; towards the north from Manaiia Road to the Masterton-Tauweru road, by South Road, Cockburn Street, Colombo Road, Kuripuni Street, Makora Road, Johnstone Street, River Road, and the Ruamahanga River; towards the north-east from the Ruamahanga River to the Taumataria Stream by the Masterton-Tauweru road; towards the south-east from the Masterton-Tauweru road to Kokotau Road, by the Taumataria Stream and the Tauweru and Ruamahanga Rivers, and also all that area known as Infected Area No. 2 situated in the Masterton County and bounded by a line commencing at a point on the Masterton-Tauweru road where it crosses the Taumataria Stream; thence north-easterly along that road and Blairlogie Road to a point due north of Shanty Trigonometrical Station; thence generally south and west by lines passing through Shanty, Cameron’s Lookout, Moore’s Taipo, Puketiri, and Kaitutai N., Trigonometrical Stations to the junction of the Te Weraiti-Fernyhurst road and Tauweru Branch Road; thence north-westerly along the Te Weraiti-Fernyhurst road to the Tauweru River; thence northerly up the Tauweru River and the Taumataria Stream to the Masterton-Tauweru road the point of commencement.
