Allocating Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Addington
to the Purposes of a Street
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication
hereof in the Gazette, become a street; and that the said
street shall be under the control of the Riccarton Borough
Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like
manner as other public highways are controlled and main-
tained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land allocated to street:
11 perches.
Railway land, being part Lots 1, 2, 3, and 35, D.P. 409,
being part Rural Section 145, situated in the Borough of
Riccarton, and being part of the land in Proclamation 2325.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15721 deposited in
the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and
thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 29th day of April 1959.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 22nd day of

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 8 of the Mental Health Amendment
Act 1950, as amended by section 3 of the Mental Health
Amendment Act 1958, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the Seacliff Mental Hospital
Order 1959. - As from the commencement of this order, the area de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be part of the
Seacliff Mental Hospital.

PART Sections 1 and 2, part closed road, and part bed of
Waikouaiti River, Block V, Hawksbury Survey District: Area,

advice and consent of the Executive Council and on the
recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby
makes the following order.

FERGUS GEORGE FREDERICK SHEPPARD, A.N.Z.I.A., A.R.I.B.A.,
of Wellington, is hereby appointed on the nomination of the
New Zealand Institute of Architects to be a member of the
National Historic Places Trust in place of Francis Gordon
Wilson, A.N.Z.I.A., of Wellington, deceased.

May 1959

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Auckland City Council to permit the laying off of the
proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width
for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than
40 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a
building shall at any time be erected on a subdivision of the
land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 158747
referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 15 ft
from the side lines of the said street.

admeasurement 1 rood 19·9 perches, more or less, being

deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Welling-
ton, and thereon coloured red.
