PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Tokirima Rabbit District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Tokirima Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 17th day of December 1952,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE TOKIRIMA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts being portions of the Taumarunui and Stratford Counties, and portion of the Ohura Town District containing 200,650 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Ongarue River in line with the western side of Okaroa Road; thence southerly generally down the middle of that river and the Wanganui River to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 4, Block III, Hunua Survey District; thence southerly to and along that boundary to the generally north-eastern side of the Wanganui Valley Road; thence south-easterly generally along that side of the said road to a point due north of the western end of the southern boundary of Section 2, Block III aforesaid; thence southerly along a right line to that boundary; thence south-easterly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 9, Block III aforesaid, the south-western boundary of Section 25, Block III aforesaid, and the south-western boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block VIII, Hunua Survey District, to a point due north of the easternmost corner of Section 8, Block VIII aforesaid; thence southerly along a right line to and along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Section 4, Block IX, Hunua Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Section 8, Block VIII aforesaid, to and along the southern side of the Pokatea-Kokakonui Road and the south-eastern boundaries of Section 5, Block I, Kaitieke Survey District; thence south-westerly along the northern and north-western boundaries of Sections 7 and 1, Block I aforesaid, the northern and north-western boundaries of Sections 2 and 4, Block VIII, Retaruke Survey District, across the Kaitieke-Tawata Road, along the north-western boundaries of Section 3, Block VIII, Retaruke Survey District, a right line across Te Rata Road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 3, 2, and 4, Block VII, Retaruke Survey District, and the southern and western boundaries of Section 10, Block VII, Retaruke Survey District, to the middle of the Waipahiki Stream and down the middle of that stream to its confluence with the Wanganui River; thence north-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Maraekowhai A 3B 1 Block; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and the southern boundaries of Maraekowhai A 5F, A 5C 1, A 5E, and A 5H Blocks and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Tangarakau River; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of that river to the eastern boundary of part Section 9, Block VII, Pouatu Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary to a point in line with the eastern boundaries of Block III, Pouatu Survey District, and Block XV, Waro Survey District; thence northerly to and along those boundaries to the confiscation line; thence north-easterly along the confiscation line to the middle of the Tangarakau River; thence up the middle of that river and the Weraroa Stream to the southern boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Waro Survey District; thence north-easterly along the southern boundary of that section and Section 9, Block VIII, Waro Survey District; and the last mentioned boundary produced to the northern side of the Ahititi-Taumarunui State Highway; thence northerly along the northern side of that highway to its junction with a stream intersecting Section 43, Block V, Ohura Survey District; thence northerly down that stream to and across the Mangakara Stream and the Mangakara Road to its eastern side; thence northerly up the eastern side of the said Mangakara Road to the southern boundary of Section 4, Block I, Ohura Survey District; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along the southern boundaries of Blocks I and II, Ohura Survey District, to the southern corner of part Section 26 of the Block II aforesaid; thence by a line in production of the south-western boundary of the aforesaid part Section 26 to and across the Waitewhena Stream and the Waitehena Road to its eastern side; thence southerly along the eastern side of Waitehena Road and easterly generally along the northern side of Huia Road
to and across the Kopuha Road, the Ohura River, and the Turoto Road to its eastern side; thence easterly generally along the southern boundary of Block VII, Ohura Survey District, to the easternmost corner of part Section 7 of the aforesaid Block VII; thence north-easterly by a right line to Wharehanga Trig. and further by a right line to Tiro Trig.; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of part Section 1, Block VII, Ohura Survey District, to and across the Waitangata Road and along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of part Section 9, Block III, Ohura Survey District, to its north-eastern corner; thence easterly generally along the southern boundaries of part Section 4, part Section 6, and Section 7, Block IV, Ohura Survey District, part Lot 1 on a plan numbered 2716 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth, and parts Lots 2 and 3 on a plan numbered 2717, deposited as aforesaid to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 3; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of part Lot 3 aforesaid and easterly along the southern boundary of part Section 7, Block I, Rangi Survey District, to and across the Ararimu East Road to its eastern side; thence northerly generally along the eastern side of that road and Opotiki Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Section 8, Block I, Rangi Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 9 and 23 of the said Block I to the west side of Okaroa Road; thence south-easterly along the western side of that road and its production to the middle of the Ongarue River, being the point of commencement.

Amending a Licence Authorising Amethyst Power Ltd. to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect Electric Lines

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 12th day of May 1954, and published in the Gazette on the 13th day of the same month, at page 826, authorising Amethyst Power Ltd. to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect electric lines.
SCHEDULE

Paragraph (a) of clause 4 is amended by deleting the figures and word “140 ft” and substituting the figures and word “170 ft”.

Paragraph (c) of clause 4 is amended by deleting the words “Pelton Wheel” and substituting the words “Pelton Wheels”.

Clause 7 is amended by deleting the last sentence thereof and substituting the following sentence: “The present plant is rated at 300 kilowatts.”

Authorising Percy Evan Kelland, of Omarama, Sheep Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Percy Evan Kelland, of Omarama, sheep farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from Exhibition Creek (hereinafter referred to as the said stream) situated in Run 546, Ohau River Survey District, in the County of Waitaki, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding one cubic foot per second, at any one time.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
