Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work to be Crown Land Together with a Water Easement

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 20th day of April 1959, together with the water easement created in and by memorandum of transfer No. 284548, Auckland Land Registry.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Maramarua Survey District, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Mercer and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

ALL that piece of land containing 2·4 perches, situated in Block I, Maramarua Survey District, Auckland R.D., and being part Allotment 11 of Section 3, Town of Mercer; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 158550 (S.O. 40849) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the persons named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SITUATED within Lake County adjacent to Queenstown Borough:

Milton-Queenstown State Highway No. 64 (from the Queenstown Borough boundary to a point 32 chains east of the said boundary).

The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification No. D 5829 for Safety Belts

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies free of charge from the N.Z. Standards Institute, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington C.1.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 15 June 1959.

PURSUANT to section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953, the Maori Trustee hereby gives notice that a list of unclaimed moneys, derived from the Waiariki Maori Land Court District, and held by him, has been filed in the office of the Registrar of the Maori Land Court at Whangarei, Auckland, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wanganui, Wellington, and Christchurch, where the same may be inspected during office hours without payment of a fee.
