PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Matamata County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that piece of road containing 25·9 perches, situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District, Taranaki R.D., adjoining or passing through part Section 76, Grey District, and part Subdivision 23A (D.P. 2917) of Maori Reserve No. 3 (Puketotara), Grey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 158511 (S.O. 8915) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Authorising the Laying Off of Lewis Place in the City of Palmerston North, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Palmerston North City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 40 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 158394 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 35 ft from the centre line of the said street.

THAT proposed street in the City of Palmerston North containing by admeasurement 1 rood 18·94 perches, more or less, being part Lots 2 and 4, D.P. 18246, being part Rural Section 370, Township of Palmerston North; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 158394 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Directing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the district valuation rolls for the districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at 31 March 1959.

Pursuant to the discretion conferred upon him by subsection (2) of section 9, Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-General intends to exercise the authority conferred by the foregoing Order in Council so far as it relates to Murupara Town District by revising only those properties on the district valuation roll which lie within that portion of approximately 475 acres described in Gazette, 19 March 1959, No. 17, page 348, which is to be included in the County of Whakatane as on and from 1 April 1959.
