Stopping Government Road in Block IV, Maungaru Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, that road being no longer required.

ALL those pieces of road situated in Block IV, Maungaru Survey District, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Wanganui Metropolitan Motorway in Block V, Ikitara Survey District, and Block V, Westmere Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a portion of a motorway desired to be constructed over Block V, Ikitara Survey District, and Block V, Westmere Survey District, viz, the Wanganui Metropolitan Motorway, shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the lands situated within the limits of the area bounded by broken red lines shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 158542 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

COMMENCING at a point on the Wanganui-Levin State Highway No. 12 and marked as 0 miles 0 chains and thence proceeding generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 7471 links and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, being parts Whakapaki No. 2, Paranui a Mata 2B 2, Ngongohau 2B, 3A, 3B, and part 2A, and part Maewae Street, Hori Kingi Street, Onetere Road, being Maori Roadways, Putiki Maori Reserve, and part bed of the Wanganui River, all being situated in Block V, Ikitara Survey District, part bed of the Wanganui River, and part Lot B, Right Bank of the Wanganui River, being also Lot 1, D.P. 17933, all being situated in Block V, Westmere Survey District, and terminating at a point on Taupo Quay in the Town of Wanganui at a point marked 74 chains 71 links, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 158542 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

RESERVE 2034 (formerly part Rural Section 3238), situated in Block IX, Ahaura Survey District, and Block XII, Mawheranui Survey District, Grey County: Area, 351 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less. Shown on plan No. 119/53 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 4814.)

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

RESERVE 2035 (formerly part reserve 1191) situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Waitaha Survey District, Westland County: Area, 725 acres 2 roods, more or less. Shown on plan No. 132/35 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 4813.)

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Geraldine County containing 1,997 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Reserves 2173, 2174, 2175, 2178, 2179, and balance of Reserves 2176 and 2177, situated in Blocks VI, VII, X, and XI, Opihi Survey District. All certificates of title, Vol. 593, folio 4; Vol. 82, folios 17, 19, 20, and 21; and balance certificates of title, Vol. 82, folio 18; and Vol. 431, folio 1.

As shown on plan No. 160/70 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plans 2252L and 2782L.)
