Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Partial Revocation of Order in Council Vesting Land Owned by Maoris in the Maori Trustee for Non-payment of Rates

PURSUANT to section 63 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule hereto in so far as it affects the land mentioned in Part II of the said Schedule.

Consul-General for Norway in New Zealand

His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that Her Majesty’s Exequatur empowering
Mr Olav Nordland
to act as Consul-General for Norway in New Zealand has been issued. Mr Nordland will reside in Sydney.

Consul-General for Lebanon in New Zealand

His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that the appointment of Dr Karim Azkoul to act as Consul-General for Lebanon in New Zealand, resident in Sydney, has been provisionally recognised.

Revocation of Appointment of Board and Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Elsthorpe Public Hall Board as published in Gazette, 3 May 1956, Vol. II, page 582, and appoints the
Patangata County Council
to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a site for a public hall.

Robert George Proctor,
Reginald Stephens,
Hunia Te Paa, and
Sidney Cyril Welsh
to be the Rotokakahi War Memorial Domain Board to have control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a public domain.
