BOROUGH OF NEWMARKET

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Newmarket Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a parking building in Davis Crescent and the establishment of a new depot in Laxon Terrace, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three decimal three two (3·32) pence in the pound on the annual rateable value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Newmarket; and that such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTE—This notice is in substitution for the notice published in Gazette, No. 63, 16 October 1958, page 1404.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Airport Improvement Loan 1958 of £17,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest on a special loan of seventeen thousand pounds (£17,000) authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, for the purpose of erecting terminal and ancillary buildings, forming and hard paving the terminal apron, forming and sealing a car park and road access thereto, and incidental work at Wanganui Airport, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·084 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the Gazettes of the 14th day of March 1957, No. 22, at pages 485 and 486, of the 29th day of August 1957, No. 62, at page 1579, of the 9th day of January 1958, No. 2, at page 16, and of the 21st day of August 1958, No. 52, at page 1104; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years from the date of the raising of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off."

In witness whereof the Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wanganui was hereunto affixed by order of the City Council of the said city this 17th day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage Loan 1958 of £160,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal repayments on the first instalment of £30,000 of a special loan of £160,000 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving and renewing and extending drainage reticulation and works, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·131 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the Gazettes of the 14th day of March 1957, No. 22, at pages 485 and 486, of the 29th day of August 1957, No. 62, at page 1579, of the 9th day of January 1958, No. 2, at page 16, and of the 21st day of August 1958, No. 52, at page 1104; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said first instalment of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the

said first instalment of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of the raising of the said first instalment of the said loan, or until such first instalment is fully paid off."

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Te Rapa Water Supply Special Area Loan 1958, £15,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,500 authorised to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply in the Te Rapa Water Supply Special Rating Area, the said County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and three-quarter pence (1¾d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Te Rapa Water Supply Special Rating Area described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

SCHEDULE

TE RAPA WATER SUPPLY AREA
ALL that area of land contained in Block XIII, Komakorau S.D., South Auckland Land District, Waipa County, and bounded by a line commencing at a point made by the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 123, and the eastern boundary of the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence southerly along the said railway boundary to its intersection with Lot 2, D.P. 266129, and a public road; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 266129, to its northern boundary; thence easterly across the aforementioned public road to and along the southern boundary of part Lot 28, D.P. 72, to the intersection with its north-eastern boundary; thence north-westerly along the said north-eastern boundary to a point 250 links from the aforementioned public road; thence in a north-easterly direction through part Lot 29, D.P. 26673, parallel to and 250 links from the southern boundary of said public road, to the south-west boundary of Lot 18, D.P. 72; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Lots 18, 19, 20, 21, D.P. 72, and Lot 3, D.P. S. 3037, to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. S. 3037; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lots 3 and 2D, D.P. S. 3037, to a public road, namely, the Great South Road; thence south-easterly down the south-western boundary of the said public road to a point made by the prolongation of the south-eastern boundary of part Section 33A, described in C.T. 560/191; thence by a straight line across the said public road to and along the south-eastern boundary of the said part Section 33A, to its north-eastern boundary; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of part Section 33A, D.P. 10404, to the south-eastern boundary of part Section 33A, D.P. 10403; thence south-westerly along its south-eastern boundary to its south-western boundary; thence north-westerly along its south-western boundary and the south-western boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 11382, to the northern boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 11382; thence easterly along its northern boundary to the south-western boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 14693; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 5, 4, and 3, D.P. 14693, to a public road; thence by a right line across the said public road to its western boundary and southerly along the said western boundary to the north-eastern boundary of a public road, namely, the Great South Road; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the Great South Road to a point made by the prolongation of the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 72; thence south-westerly by a straight line across the aforementioned public road to and along the north-western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 72, and Lot 2, D.P. 123, to the point of commencement.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portion of land described in the Schedule hereto.
