RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Wellington City Aerodrome Loan No. 6 1958 of £150,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£150,000) to be known as the Wellington City Aerodrome Loan No. 6 1958 of £150,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out works associated with the development of Rongotai Aerodrome, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of sixty-five eight-hundredths of a penny (65/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 9th day of March 1959.

MANAWATU CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Plant Loan 1958, £5,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manawatu Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Manawatu Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing plant, the said Manawatu Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate of
0·04905 pence in the pound on Class A land,
0·0327 pence in the pound on Class B land,
0·01635 pence in the pound on Class C land,
0·00817 pence in the pound on Class D land,
0·00327 pence in the pound on Class E land, and
0·00123 pence in the pound on Class F land
upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Lower Manawatu Scheme Classified Area on a graduated scale in accordance with the classification list of the said area, and varied in accordance with the provisions of the Valuation Equalisation Act 1957, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed by the Manawatu Catchment Board at its meeting held on Tuesday, the 17th day of March 1959.

APPLICATION FOR A WATER RACE
—
TAKE notice that Edgar Ramsay Bagley, of Middlemarch, farmer, has applied to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell, for a license for a water race commencing in the Taieri River 300 yards south of the applicant’s homestead in Block I, Northern District, and running north-easterly for 1,900 ft through Crown land occupied by the applicant and terminated at the applicant’s woolshed with right to divert one head of water by a 1 in. pipe for domestic and stockwatering purposes.
The application will be heard on 15 April 1959, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s Court, Cromwell.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS
The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
Free Postage: All Publications sold by the Department are now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
All references to postage in previous lists, catalogues, etc., should be amended accordingly.
