THAMES VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan 1958, £200,000
NOTICE is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board held at the Board’s Offices, Te Aroha, on the 3rd day of March 1959, the following resolution was passed:
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Thames Valley Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of principal, interest, and other charges on the Reticulation Loan 1958 of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Thames Valley Electric Power District and purchasing plant and equipment, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-nineteenth (1/19th) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Thames Valley Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THE WESTLAND CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Kowhitirangi Flood Control Loan 1958, £5,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Westland Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) known as the Kowhitirangi Flood Control Loan 1958 authorised to be raised by the Westland Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Board’s share of the Kowhitirangi Flood Control Scheme, the said Westland Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate on a graduated scale according to a classification by agreement made for the purpose of such rate of the rateable property within that part of the Westland Catchment District, as defined in the Kowhitirangi special rating area within the County of Westland, in accordance with the classification Plan No. 906/13, Sheet No. 6, deposited in the office of the Westland Catchment Board as follows:
Decimal seven two nought pence in the pound (·720d.) of the rateable capital value of lands classified as Class A;
Decimal six nought nought pence (·600d.) in the pound of the rateable capital value of lands classified as Class B;
Decimal four eight nought pence (·480d.) in the pound of the rateable capital value of lands classified as Class C;
Decimal three nought nought pence (·300d.) in the pound of the rateable capital value of lands classified as Class D;
Decimal two one nought pence (·210d.) in the pound of the rateable capital value of lands classified as Class E;
and
Decimal one two nought pence (·120d.) in the pound of the rateable capital value of lands classified as Class F;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of September and 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed by the Westland Catchment Board on the 17th day of November 1958.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS
The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
Free Postage: All Publications sold by the Department are now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
All references to postage in previous lists, catalogues, etc., should be amended accordingly.
