Declaration of Approved Vendors of Motor Vehicles for Purposes of Registration No. 13

PURSUANT to subclause (4) of regulation 11A of the Motor Vehicles Registration and Licensing Regulations 1949,* the Minister of Transport hereby (1) declares that the companies, firms, and persons described in the First Schedule hereto shall, to the extent therein described, be approved vendors of motor vehicles, in addition to those already so declared† for the purposes of registration of motor vehicles in terms of the said regulations; and (2) revokes as approved vendors of motor vehicles the companies, firms, and persons described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Notification of Exemption from Renters’ Quota Under the Cinematograph Films Act 1928

——

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Cinematograph Films Act 1928, it is hereby notified that exemption has been granted to each of the following named renters in respect of the film renting season for the year 1957–58, from the provision of the aforesaid Act, which requires every licensed renter to acquire a stated proportion of Commonwealth films:

Paramount Films Ltd.
R.K.O. Radio Pictures (Australasia) Pty. Ltd.
United Artists (Australasia) Pty. Ltd.

Time and Place of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill Positions on the Fire Committee for the Winton Urban Fire District

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Thursday, 26 March 1959, as the time and the offices of the Otago and Southland Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, corner Jetty and Crawford Streets, Dunedin, as the place for the holding of a meeting of representatives of insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand, to elect two members on the fire committee for the Winton Urban Fire District.
