Authorising the Laying Off of Droylsden Place in the City of Palmerston North

At the Government House at Wellington this 25th day of February 1959
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Palmerston North City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 44 ft 7½ in.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
THAT proposed street in the City of Palmerston North, containing by admeasurement 39·17 perches, more or less, being part Lot 1, D.P. 445, and part Lot 5, D.P. 1143, being part Section 241, Township of Palmerston North; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 158248 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the accessway described in the First Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch and be under the control and management of the Christchurch City Council, and that the accessways described in the Second Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Waimairi County Council.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that such portion of the road described in the Schedule hereto as lies within the Borough of Mount Wellington shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Mount Wellington Borough Council and such portion of the road described in the Schedule hereto as lies within the Borough of Ellerslie shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Ellerslie Borough Council.
