PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

The portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Westland County—

That portion of the Greymouth-Waiho State Highway No. 56 at Whataroa from 12 chains south of its junction with the Whataroa Flat Road to a point 36 chains east of the said junction.

Limited Speed Zone Declared and Excluding Roads from Speed Limitation

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 23rd day of December 1938* as relates to part of the Queenstown-Invercargill Main Highway No. 229 and the Gore-Te Anau-Milford Sound Main Highway No. 134 in Lumsden Town District is hereby revoked.

2. Those portions of road specified in the First Schedule to this notice are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

3. The portion of road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Lumsden Town District—

That portion of the Gore-Lumsden State Highway No. 66 from the eastern boundary of Lumsden Town District to its junction with Laura Street and those portions of the Queenstown-Invercargill State Highway No. 65 from the northern boundary of Lumsden Town District to a point 8 chains north of its junction with the Gore-Lumsden State Highway No. 66 and from the southern boundary of Lumsden Town District to a point 2 chains north of its junction with Oxford Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Lumsden Town District—

That portion of the Gore-Lumsden State Highway No. 66 from its junction with Laura Street to a point 5 chains east of its junction with Bush Street.

Closely Populated Locality Declared and Revoking a Closely Populated Locality

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 3rd day of February 1949*, as relates to part of the Nelson-Westport State Highway No. 54 in Buller County is hereby revoked.

2. The portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Buller County—

That portion of the Nelson-Westport State Highway No. 54 from the western boundary of Westport Borough to a point 8 chains measured generally west and south along the said State Highway.
