PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of road in the Canterbury Land District containing 3 acres and 8·6 perches, situated in Block X, Ashburton Survey District, Canterbury R.D., and adjoining Sections 16, 17, and 18, Dromore Village Settlement; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155289 (S.O. 9215) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

ALL that piece of road in the Southland Land District containing 4 acres 1 rood 20 perches, situated in Blocks I and IV, Preservation Survey District, Southland R.D., adjoining Sections 1 to 36, both inclusive, Town of Te Onepoa and Fiordland National Park; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155294 (S.O. 6425) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for the New Plymouth - Wellington Railway and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the National Roads Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land in the Taranaki Land District containing 32·2 perches, situated in Block VII, Carlyle Survey District, Taranaki R.D., and being part railway land; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125440 (S.O. 8243) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
