NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute book of the company, in accordance with section 362 (1) and (3) of the Companies Act 1955, on the 10th day of December 1958, the following special resolution was duly passed:
“(1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“(2) That Mr James Francis Frew, of Hamilton, public accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

Notice of Meeting of Creditors
In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Charmonte Models (Wellington) Ltd. (in liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 362 of the Companies Act 1955, Charmonte Models (Wellington) Ltd. has duly entered in its minute book, on Wednesday, 10 December 1958, the following extraordinary resolutions:
“(1) That the company by reason of its liabilities cannot continue in business.
“(2) That it is advisable that the company should be wound up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
“(3) That George Bernard Battersby, public accountant, of Christchurch, be nominated as liquidator of the company.”
And that a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the office of Messrs Pickles, Perkins, and Hadlee, Public Accountants, Shaw Savill Building, corner of High and Cashel Streets, Christchurch, on Friday, the 19th day of December 1958, at 3.30 p.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company and, in pursuance to section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
The attention of creditors is drawn to the fact that proxies required for voting at the above meeting must be lodged with the secretary, P.O. Box 2024, Christchurch, not later than Thursday, 18 December 1958.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of Hutt was taken on Saturday, the 6th day of December 1958, on the proposal of the Hutt County Council to borrow the sum of £20,000 for the purpose of providing a war memorial community centre at Wainuiomata.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 487
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 333
The number of informal votes was 4
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

COUNTY OF KOWAI

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Bridge and Sealing Loan 1958, £25,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kowai County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Kowai County Council under the above-mentioned Act for constructing bridges and sealing roads, the said Kowai County Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and sixty-five one thousandths of a penny (165/1,000d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Kowai comprising the whole of the County of Kowai; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
