COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a university; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of December 1958.

ALL those pieces of land in the Wellington Land District, situated in the City of Wellington, described as follows:

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a main highway depot and that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for roadmen’s cottages; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of December 1958.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Westland Land District containing 2 acres 3 roods 13·9 perches, situated in Block XIII, Waiho Survey District, Westland R.D., being Lot 23, D.P. 1335, and being part Section 4063. Part certificate of title, Volume 53, folio 191, Westland Land Registry.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Westland Land District containing 1 rood 24 perches, situated in Block XIII, Waiho Survey District, Westland R.D., being Lots 6 and 7, D.P. 1335, and being part Section 4063. Part certificate of title, Volume 53, folio 191, Westland Land Registry.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a gravel pit; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of December 1958.

ALL that piece of land in the Southland Land District containing 8 acres and 9 perches, situated in Block XVIII, Jacobs River Hundred, being Section 2. All certificate of title, Volume 28, folio 29, Southland Land Registry.

Easement Over Land Taken for the Development of Water Power (Kikiwa Substation) in Blocks I, II, and VI, Motupiko Survey District

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that an easement is hereby taken for the development of water power (Kikiwa Substation) over the land described in the Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen, first, the full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to take water from a spring situated on the land sixthly described in the Schedule hereto, and for that purpose to construct, use, and maintain a concrete water tank thereon and to carry out any other works that are deemed necessary by Her Majesty the Queen to provide an unpolluted and adequate supply of water to the said substation, and secondly, the full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to convey water from the said spring to the said substation along, under, or over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and for that purpose to lay, construct, place, and maintain a line of pipes over the land described in the Schedule hereto and to use the said line of pipes for the unimpeded conveyance of water; such easement to be appurtenant to the land described in the First and Second Schedules of the Proclamation dated the 3rd day of September 1957, published in Gazette, 5 September 1957, Vol. III, page 1608, and registered as No. 62955, Nelson Land Registry.

SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land in the Nelson Land District, situated in the Motupiko Survey District, Nelson R.D., describing as follows:

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto and the leasehold estate in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, held from the Dilworth Trust Board by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, under and by virtue of memorandum of lease No. 22349, Auckland Land Registry, for a term commencing on 1 February 1952 and ending on 31 January 1973, is hereby taken, subject as to Lot 2, D.P. 38352, to the fencing agreement contained in memorandum of transfer No. 492158, Auckland Land Registry, subject as to Lot 4, D.P. 10257, to the fencing agreements contained in memoranda of transfer Nos. 84633 and 140667, Auckland Land Registry, and together with and subject as to Lot 4, D.P. 10257, to the rights of way created in and by memoranda of transfer Nos. 122976, 140667, 143563, and 161091, Auckland Land Registry, for better utilisation; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of December 1958.
