WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
IN accordance with the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £2,300 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Abattoir Remodelling Loan 1950 was raised, the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·172d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 12 years, or until such loan is paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said rate as security for the said loan.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Takanini-Tironui (Water Supply Area No. 3) Loan 1958, £15,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £15,500 authorised to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out water supply works within Water Supply Area No. 3 (Takanini-Tironui), the said Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny (⁷⁄₃₂d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Takanini-Tironui Water Supply Special Rating Area in the said county, being the special rating area more particularly defined in the Gazette of the 25th day of August 1955, No. 55, at page 1366; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I, Hugh Drummond Lambie, Chairman of the Manukau County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council held on the 21st day of October 1958.

Takanini-Tironui (Water Supply Area No. 11) Loan 1958, £4,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £4,500 authorised to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out water supply works within Water Supply Area No. 11 (Takanini-Tironui), the said Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-sixteenths of a penny (¹¹⁄₁₆d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in Water Supply Area No. 11 (Takanini-Tironui) Special Rating Area, as more particularly described in the Schedule hereunder; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of approximately 854 acres in the Manukau County in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Papakura Stream, in Block XIV, Otahuhu Survey District, on the eastern side of, 5 chains distant from, and measured at right angles to, the eastern side of Morris Road, and running generally north-easterly up that left bank to and along the south-western and north-western boundaries of part Allotment 22, Papakura Parish, to and generally south-easterly along the western side of Mill Road and the southern side of Phillips Road to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 2, L.T. Plan 23434, being part Allotment 29 of the aforesaid parish, and along a right line being that boundary produced to and again north-easterly along the southern side of the 1 chain right of way along the northern boundaries of part Lot 3, D.P. 20982, Lot 1, D.P. 42387, and part Lot 4, Lot 5, and part Lot 6, D.P. 20982 aforesaid, the said lots being parts Allotment 29 afore-mentioned, to and along the north-eastern and generally south-eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned part Lot 6, D.P. 20982, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 22141, being part Allotment 30 of the aforesaid parish; thence along a right line across the Clevedon-Takanini Road to and along that north-eastern boundary to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 12262, thence south-westerly along a right line to and along the northern and south-western boundaries of that Lot 2, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of part Lot 1, D.P. 12262, Lot 4, D.P. 42854, and another part of Lot 1, D.P. 12262, the aforesaid lots being parts Allotment 30 aforesaid, to and north-westerly along the generally north-eastern boundary of the Takanini-Tironui Water Supply Special Rating Area, as described in Gazette No. 55, of the 25th day of August 1955, page 1366, to the point of commencement as shown on Plan 1025, Papakura Riding, edged yellow.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Fire Station Site Loan 1958, £5,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 17th day of November 1958.
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Henderson Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land described as Lots 94/97, plan B33, of Allotment 7, Waipareira Parish, and of Allotment 2, Waikomiti Parish, containing an area of 3 roods 2·4 perches, more or less, with frontage to Station Road and William Street, and the house and other buildings situated thereon, as the site for a fire station, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of sixteen-hundredths of a penny (0·16d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development Loan 1958, £50,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 17th day of November 1958.
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Henderson Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving streets and footpaths, and purchasing land for off-street parking of motor-vehicles, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one and seventy-one hundredths of a penny (1·71d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
