Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 8th day of December 1958.

Notice of Intention to Take Leasehold Estate in Land for State Housing Purposes in the City of Napier

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provision of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by Gordon Christie, Richmond Settlement, watersider, under and by virtue of Crown Lease No. 10397, for State housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which the said leasehold estate is required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Napier and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said leasehold estate should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said leasehold estate, set forth the same in writing and send the writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
