Authorising Pohokura Timber Co. Ltd. to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Taupo

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 26th day of November 1958

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Pohokura Timber Co. Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Hastings (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. This licence is issued under the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be an alternating-current system.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1979.

SCHEDULE

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee’s generator and proceeding as follows:

(a) In an easterly direction to a mill building.

(b) In a north-westerly direction to a pole; thence in a south-westerly direction across the Napier-Taupo Main Highway to a pole and three cottages; thence in a south-easterly direction to a pole and a cottage; thence in a southerly direction to a pole and a cookhouse; and thence in a south-westerly direction to a hall.

All being situated in Pohokura No. 3, Block X, Runanga Survey District, in the County of Taupo, the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked S.H.D. 307 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Raymond Timothy Porter, of Matawai, Poverty Bay, farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

(b) In a north-westerly direction to a house.

All being situated in part Lots 2 and 4, D.P. 2462, Sections 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and part Section 2, Block IX, Motu Survey District, in the County of Waikohu; the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked S.H.D. 490 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Defining Limits for the Harbour of Auckland

COBHAM, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby define the limits of the Port or Harbour of Auckland to be that area as described in the Schedule hereto and hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 7th day of May 1925 and published in the Gazette of the 21st day of May 1925, Vol. II, page 1555, defining the limits of the Port of Auckland.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of tidal waters inside a straight line drawn from the northern extreme of the eastern head of the Tamaki River to the southern extreme of Park Point (Waiheke Island); thence by high-water mark of ordinary spring tide to the northern extreme of the western entrance to Owhanake Bay; thence by a straight line to the south-westernmost point of Rakino Island; thence by a straight line to the northernmost point (Billy Goat Point) of Motutapu Island; thence by high-water mark of ordinary spring tide along the eastern shore of Motutapu Island through Home Bay Point and Emu Point and onwards following the eastern shore of Islington Bay inwards to its head at its narrowest width, and its western shore outwards to Motu Korea Channel continuing along the southern and western shore of Rangitoto Island to a position where a straight line projecting 270° passes through Rangitoto Beacon to the mainland; as shown by the line coloured pink on the plan marked M.D. 10493 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 28th day of November 1958.

Defining the Limits of the Auckland Harbour Pilotage District

COBHAM, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 211 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby define the limits of the Auckland Harbour Pilotage District, within which pilots may act for the purposes of the said Act, to be that area described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 21st day of September 1912 and published in the Gazette of the 26th day of September 1912, Vol. II, page 2793, defining the limits of the Auckland Pilotage District.

SCHEDULE

THOSE waters of the Hauraki Gulf and Waitemata Harbour having as their outward seaward limits a straight line commencing at high-water mark at the south-easternmost point of Whangaparaoa Peninsula and extending to high-water mark on the south-easternmost point of Tiri Tiri Island; thence by a straight line extending to Shearer Rock; thence by a straight line extending to high-water mark on the northernmost point of Rakino Island; thence following high-water mark of the western shore of Rakino Island to the south-westernmost point of Rakino Island; thence by a straight line extending to high-water mark on the northern extreme of the western entrance to Owhanake Bay of Waiheke Island; thence following high-water mark of the western shore of Waiheke Island to the southern extreme of Park Point; thence by a straight line extending to high-water mark on the northernmost point of East Tamaki Head; as shown by the line coloured green on the plan marked M.D. 10493 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 28th day of November 1958.
