Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road Near Hampden

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the National Roads Board and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway.

Defining the Middle Line of Wellington-Foxton Railway (Manawatu Bridge Deviation)

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the Wellington-Foxton Railway (Manawatu Bridge Deviation) shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point marked 80 miles 71 chains 60 links (Wellington - New Plymouth mileage) on the existing Wellington-Foxton Railway, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of 1 mile 39 chains 80 links, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands etc.—viz. part Railway land in the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Purchase Act 1908, part Railway land in Gazette 1944, page 26, and part Railway land in Proclamation 4308, part Rural Sections 87 and 77, Township of Fitzherbert (C.T. 546/105, limited as to parcels), part old bed of Manawatu River, and part Section 22, Karere Block (C.T. 596/269), and part Railway land (C.T. 34/161), situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga County; and terminating at a point marked 82 miles 60 chains (Wellington - New Plymouth mileage) on the existing Wellington-Foxton Railway, including all adjoining or intervening places, lands, reserves, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.
All in the Wellington Land District; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15463 (in 2 sheets): deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 11th day of November 1958.

THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Exhibitions Act 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association Show Order 1958.

In this order, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“The Act” means the Exhibition Act 1910:
“The promoter” means the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Incorporated):
“The exhibition” means a public exhibition of works of industry and art, to be conducted by the promoter at the Wanganui Racecourse, Wanganui, from the 14th day of November 1958 to the 15th day of November 1958 (both inclusive) and to be known as the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association Show 1958.

The exhibition is hereby authorised, and declared to be an exhibition within the meaning of the Act.

Subject to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto, the following provisions are hereby suspended in so far as they relate to work done or business conducted or services rendered in the said premises during the period of the exhibition, by or on behalf of the promoter, or by or on behalf of any exhibitor at the exhibition, or by any person employed in or about the exhibition, namely—such of the provisions of—
(a) The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954 and all awards and industrial agreements in force thereunder;
(b) The Shops and Offices Act 1955; and
(c) The Factories Act 1946,—
as relate to the hours of commencing or ceasing work, or to the issue of permits, or to the payment for overtime, or extended hours, or to holidays, and half-holidays, or to the closing of shops.
