TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 35 (3) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board has consented under section 35 (2) of the Act, to a specific departure from the provisions of the Matamata County Council’s operative district scheme by permitting the New Zealand Forest Products Ltd. to change the use of the building situated on the corner of Roslin Street and Slateford Road, in Tokoroa, from use as a community centre for recreational purposes to a commercial use as offices. This consent is subject to the following conditions:
(a) That the ground floor coverage of any building to be erected shall not exceed the present ground floor coverage by more than 10 per cent, and
(b) That the remainder of the site be retained and maintained as open space.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaikoura County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of forty-seven thousand pounds (£47,000) authorised to be raised by the Kaikoura County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply to the Town Riding and the South Bay area of the county, the Kaikoura County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six decimal six seven pence in the pound (6·67d. in £) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the special rating area in the county, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THE following resolution was passed by the Feilding Borough Council at a meeting held on the 23rd day of October 1958:
‘In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest on a loan of £6,800 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting houses thereon, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one one eight pence (·118d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring special rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimate County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimate County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of building a worker’s dwelling, the said Waimate County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1/110ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waimate County Council, comprising the whole of the County of Waimate; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of October and the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan (No. 4) 1958, £67,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of sixty-seven thousand pounds (£67,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing Wainui Hill Road and Gracefield Road, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six hundred and two thousandths of a penny (0·602d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 22nd day of September 1958.

BALCLUTHA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Milk Treatment Station Loan 1958, £5,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Balclutha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £5,000 to be known as the Milk Treatment Station Loan 1958, authorised to be raised by the Balclutha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing the Crown’s 6,000 preference shares in the Balclutha Municipal Milk Treatment Station Ltd., the said Balclutha Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·6d. in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Balclutha. It is not intended to levy the rate but to meet the loan charges from the milk station accounts.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed at a meeting of the Balclutha Borough Council held on Wednesday, 29 January 1958.

TARARUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Tararua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £20,000 (to be known as Buildings Loan 1958) authorised to be raised by the Tararua Electric Power Board in New Zealand by ‘special order’ under the above-mentioned Act and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of erecting administrative, store, and workshop buildings, the said Tararua Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6/50ths (six fiftieths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Tararua Electric Power District, as defined in the Gazette, No. 31 of the 22nd day of May 1958 at pages 652 and 653; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Tararua Electric Power Board held on the 24th day of October 1958.
