Judge of the Courts Martial Appeal Court Appointed

Pursuant to the Courts Martial Appeals Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, has reappointed Lindsay Merritt Inglis, of Hamilton, Stipendiary Magistrate, to be a Judge of the Courts Martial Appeal Court, to hold office for a term of three years from the 22nd day of October 1958.

Temporary Judge of Compensation Court Appointed

Social Security Amendment Act 1939—Maternity Notice

Pursuant to section 13 (5) of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that advice has been received from Frederick Thomas Shannon, M.B., Ch.B.(N.Z.), M.R.A.C.P., of 182 Worcester Street, Christchurch, that he is unwilling to afford medical services in relation to maternity on the terms provided for in section 13 of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, and that consequently he is entitled to recover any fees in respect of his professional services as if that Act had not been passed.
