TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1957, £10,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of one penny (⅓₂d.) in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the County of Tauranga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tauranga County Council held on the 6th day of May 1957.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twelve thousand one hundred pounds (£12,100) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting pensioners’ flats, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of forty-seven four-hundredths of a penny (47/400d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Levin, comprising the whole of the Borough of Levin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council, at its meeting held on the 11th day of June 1957, has resolved to prepare for the Waitemata County a district scheme by sections as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

The sections are as follows:

SECTION 1

The whole of the country district dealing with the following matters as set out in the Second Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Act 1953:

  1. The zoning or definition of areas to be used exclusively or principally for urban or rural purposes.

  2. Public access by main communication routes.

  3. Provision and presentation of amenities including the regulation and control of outdoor advertising.

  4. Control of subdivision, including restraint upon unnecessary encroachment of urban development upon land of high actual or potential value for the production of food.

  5. Land subdivisional standards in relation to any permitted use.

  6. Minimum site areas and dimensions in relation to uses of land and buildings.

SECTIONS 2, 2A, 2B, ETC.

Those parts of the county which will be defined as urban development zones in section 1 of the district scheme when approved, making provision for such of the matters referred to in the Second Schedule to the Act as are appropriate to the circumstances.

SECTION 3

That part of the county which will be defined as a rural zone in section 1 of the district scheme when approved, making provision for such of the matters referred to in the Second Schedule to the Act as are appropriate to the circumstances and have not already been provided for in section 1.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Waitemata County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, on or before the 31st day of March 1958.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS

The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

Free Postage: All publications sold by the Department are now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
