WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open to public inspection at the office of the Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

that the land so required to be taken is shown as Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 9091 and open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the Corporation.

ALL that piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin containing 4 acres and 34·54 poles, more or less, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 9091, and being part of the land comprised in certificates of title register books, Volume 224, folio 18, and Volume 304, folio 196. Subject to the building-line restriction imposed by Order in Council registered as No. X. 80 and subject to the right of batter created by transfer No. 158187.

THE AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
General Extension and Improvement Loan 1957 of £600,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Auckland Electric Power Board Act 1921–22, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Auckland Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £600,000 known as the General Extension and Improvement Loan 1957 of £600,000 for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s area and generally extending, strengthening, and reorganising its supply, the Auckland Electric Power Board doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one twenty-sixth (1/26th) of a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable value, on the basis of the capital value, of all rateable property in the Auckland Electric Power District, comprising the City of Auckland together with the Boroughs of Ellerslie, Howick, Manurewa, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Newmarket, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, Papakura, Papatoetoe, the Road Districts of Panmure and Western Waiheke, and the County of Manukau; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
