Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Southland Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of
the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the
provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 4
March 1936 and published in the Gazette, 12 March 1936,
Volume I, page 457.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF
SCHEME UNDER THE CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT
1957
Notice is hereby given that the Public Trustee has applied
to the Supreme Court at Wellington for approval of a scheme
for administration of the McClelland Trust Fund and for
variation of the trusts relating to such fund. By the will of
John Johnston McClelland (deceased) he provided for
seven annual sums totalling £70 to be paid to various
charities in England and Northern Ireland. The principal pur-
poses of the scheme are to dispose of £5 per annum intended
for purchase of a gold medal for a pupil of Armagh Cathedral
School (which no longer exists), to determine which charities
in England are entitled to two annual sums of £10 each
intended for a Fresh Air Fund in London and a society in
London for the training and pensioning of nurses, and to deal
with undistributed income. Copies of the application, the
scheme, and the report of the Attorney-General thereon may
be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Registrar,
Supreme Court, Wellington, and the Solicitor to the Public
Trust Office, Wellington.
The date proposed for the hearing of the application is the
26th day of February 1958. Any person desiring to oppose
the scheme is hereby required to give written notice of his
intention to do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court,
Wellington, and to the Public Trustee, Wellington, and to
the Attorney-General, Wellington, not less than seven clear
days before that date.
