CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
- Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said stream at the point in Section 1 of 2, Block VII, Orieri Survey District, indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 466 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
- The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 466.
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a pipeline leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 160 ft.
(b) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Section 1 of 2, Block VII, Orieri Survey District.
(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse back to the said stream.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (i) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and shall be a direct current system at a normal rated pressure of 110 volts.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1978.
RENTAL
- For purposes of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence the present plant is rated at 7 kilowatts.
NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
- Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

Assent to Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hauraki Plains Over Land in Block I, Waihou Survey District, Taken for a Post Office
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated 7 December 1957 and published in Gazette, 12 December 1957, No. 91, page 2284, an area of land containing 1·2 perches, being part Section 47, Block I, Waihou Survey District, was taken for a post office.
And whereas the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hauraki Plains were entitled to receive compensation for the taking of the said land:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed, inter alia, to grant to the said Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hauraki Plains an easement of right of way over the said land in addition to the payment of a sum of money in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:
And whereas the said Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hauraki Plains have agreed to accept such grant of easement and sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
