Limited Speed Zone Declared
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:
-
That portion of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 14th day of March 1938* which relates to part of the Milton-Queenstown State Highway No. 64 referred to in the said Warrant as the Palmerston-Queenstown via Becks Main Highway No. 124 at Clyde in Vincent County is hereby revoked.

The portion of road specified in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

The portion of road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Vincent County—
That portion of the Milton-Queenstown State Highway No. 64 at Clyde from a point 6 chains north-west of its junction with the Springvale-Clyde Main Highway No. 127 to a point 16 chains north-west of its junction with the Earnscleugh Main Highway No. 706.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Vincent County—
That portion of the Milton-Queenstown State Highway No. 64 at Clyde from a point 6 chains north-west of its junction with the Springvale-Clyde Main Highway No. 127 to a point 18 chains south-east of the said junction.

Closely Populated Locality Declared
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

So much of the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 28th day of October 1952* as relates to an area at Ngunguru in Whangarei County is hereby revoked.

The area specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SITUATED within Whangarei County at Ngunguru—
Kiripaka-Ngunguru Road (from Waiotoi Road to the lagoon bridge situated approximately 64 chains south-west of Waiotoi Road).
Matapouri-Ngunguru Road (from Waiotoi Road to a point 2 chains north-east of Waitoia Road).

Declaring the Carriage by Goods Service Vehicle of Metal, Gravel, Shingle, Scoria and Sand to be a Goods Service
Pursuant to section 98 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares that the carriage by goods service vehicle (whether for hire or reward or not) of metal, gravel, shingle, scoria, or sand shall be deemed, for the purpose of Part VI of the Transport Act 1949, to be a goods service within the meaning of the said Act and hereby further declares that this order shall not apply to any goods service vehicle:
(a) Owned by the Crown, the National Roads Board, or a public body.
(b) Used by or for the owner of the vehicle for the carriage of the said goods for work in connection with his own property only.
(c) That with the load it is for the time being carrying does not weigh more than 2½ tons.

Revocation of Approval to Issue Warrants of Fitness
Pursuant to subclause (3) of regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the approval of the firm described in the Schedule hereto to issue warrants of fitness for motor vehicles.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
