Pursuant to section 5 of the Historic Places Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby appoints the under-mentioned person to be a member of the National Historic Places Trust for a term of three years as on and from the 1st day of April 1958.

Authorising Otahuhu Borough Council to Fix Water Charges According to the Quantity Used

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 97 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Otahuhu Borough Council making and levying water rates and charges in respect both of the ordinary as well as of any extraordinary supply, according to the quantity of water consumed by any person receiving the same as measured by meter, at such rates or charges as may from time to time be fixed by any bylaw of the Council in that behalf, or as may be agreed on with any such person.

Pursuant to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

All those pieces of road in the North Auckland Land District, situated in the Matakoh Survey District, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

Pursuant to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access way described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Hastings, and be under the control of the Hastings City Council.

All that access way in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing 9 perches, situated in the City of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay R.D., and being Lot 42, D.P. 9387, part Heretaunga Block. Part certificate of title, H.B. Volume 167, folio 127.

Exempting Land in the South Auckland Land District From the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

Pursuant to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
All that piece of land situated in the Land Registration District of Auckland, containing 25·5 perches, being part of Allotment 388 of the Town of Newcastle, situated in the Borough of Ngaruawahia and being the residue of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 509, folio 220, South Auckland Registry (limited as to parcels).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 9th day of September 1958.
