CITY OF GISBORNE
PURSUANT to subsection 2 of section 29 of the Finance Act (No. 3) 1944, the Gisborne City Council hereby gives public notice of its intention to carry out the scheme of development described in the First Schedule hereto. The approximate boundaries of the areas thereby affected are as described in the Second Schedule hereto, such area being hereinafter referred to as “the area”.
This notice shall remain in force until the 31st day of March 1960.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NATURE OF WORK
THE acquisition and development of the area by subdivision into sites for building allotments, the construction of streets thereon and the provision of the necessary services and amenities.
SECOND SCHEDULE
PARTS of Sections 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, and 110, Gisborne Suburban, situated between Aberdeen Road and the Taruheru River and more particularly the lands comprised in the following certificates of title: 102/47, 102/188, 106/76, 106/72, 106/75, 109/24, 114/187, 115/180, 106/73, 99/236, 115/12, 94/258, 114/32, in accordance with a plan of the area open for inspection at the City Council Chambers, Fitzherbert Street, Gisborne.

BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Extension Loan No. 13 (1958), £100,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Extension Loan No. 13 (1958), of £100,000, authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-tenths pence (4/10d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Bay of Islands Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 12th day of September in each and every year, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Eketahuna Borough Council Sewerage Extension Loan £13,000, 1957
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Eketahuna Borough Council held on the 27th day of December 1957.
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eketahuna Borough Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of £13,000 (thirteen thousand pounds) to be known as Sewer Extension Loan 1957 of £13,000, authorised to be raised by the Eketahuna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the sewerage system in Bengston, Macara, Stanley, and Duncan Streets, and Carter and Newman Roads; construction of an Imhoff tank; purchase of a site for the tank; and £500 for sundry septic tanks, the Eketahuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sevenpence (7d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Eketahuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

KOWAI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Worker’s Dwelling Loan 1958 of £2,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kowai County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,500 authorised to be raised by the Kowai County Council under the above-mentioned Act for providing accommodation for staff, the said Kowai County Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and ninety-six ten thousands of a penny (196/10,000d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Kowai comprising of the whole of the County of Kowai; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of September and the 15th day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan, No. 4 1958, £50,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·077d. in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, on all rateable property in the County of Waipa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on Monday, 18 September 1958.
