FIRST SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC LINES
(1) Lines for the transmission and supply of electrical energy:
(a) Within the Borough of Tauranga as defined in the Gazette of 1882, at page 295:
(b) Within existing and future reclaimed areas adjacent to the Borough of Tauranga as hereinbefore defined:
(c) Within three areas adjoining the Borough of Tauranga as hereinbefore defined situated between the right bank of a former channel of the Kopurererua River and the right bank of the present channel of the said river:
(d) Along a proposed bridge across the Waikareao Estuary:
(e) Along the Hairene Bridge across the Waimapu Estuary.
The said borough, adjacent areas, and bridges, being more particularly delineated by the plan marked S.H.D. 419 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in red.
(2) Lines for the transmission of electrical energy leading as follows:
(a) Commencing from the licensee’s powerhouse at Omanawa Falls and proceeding north-westerly generally across Blocks VI and V, Otanewainuku Survey District, to the licensee’s powerhouse at McLaren’s Falls, the said line being shown by means of a green line on the plan marked S.H.D. 420 deposited as aforesaid:
(b) Commencing from the licensee’s powerhouse at McLaren’s Falls and proceeding north-easterly generally across Blocks V, I, and II, Otanewainuku Survey District, and across Blocks XIII, IX, and X, Tauranga Survey District, to the Borough of Tauranga as hereinbefore defined, the said line being shown by means of a yellow line on the said plan S.H.D. 420:
(c) Commencing from the licensee’s powerhouse at McLaren’s Falls and proceeding north-easterly generally across Blocks V, I, and II, Otanewainuku Survey District, and across Blocks XIII, XIV, and X, Tauranga Survey District, to the Borough of Tauranga as hereinbefore defined, the said line being shown by means of a red line on the said plan S.H.D. 420:
(d) Commencing from the licensee’s powerhouse at McLaren’s Falls and proceeding north-westerly generally across Blocks V and I, Otanewainuku Survey District, Block XII, Tauranga Survey District, Blocks XII, IX, VI, V, and II, Aongatete Survey District, to the State Hydro-electric Department’s Aongatete Substation, the said line being shown by means of a blue line on the said plan S.H.D. 420.
SECOND SCHEDULE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF GENERATING WORKS
(1) (a) Headworks consisting of a weir and intake in the Omanawa River giving a static head of approximately 110 ft.:
(b) An intake tunnel leading in a north-westerly direction from the intake aforesaid for a distance of approximately 11 chains to a screen chamber and the powerhouse hereinafter referred to:
(c) Water turbines, generators, and all necessary hydraulic and electrical equipment housed in a powerhouse situated on the left bank of the Omanawa River at the foot of the Omanawa Falls:
(d) A tail race leading from the powerhouse aforesaid to the Omanawa River.
(2) (a) Headworks consisting of intakes in the Mangakarengarenga Stream with two diversion tunnels leading in an easterly direction to the Mangapapa Stream:
(b) Headworks consisting of a main dam and spillway dam in the Mangapapa Stream giving a static head of approximately 80 ft.:
(c) Headgates and an intake with a tunnel leading to a surge tank and a pipeline therefrom to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to:
(d) Water turbines, generators, and all necessary hydraulic and electrical equipment housed in a powerhouse situated on the right bank of the Wairoa River at the foot of McLaren’s Falls:
(e) A tail race leading from the powerhouse aforesaid to the Wairoa River.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Tauranga Electric Power Board to Use Electric Lines

At the Government House at Wellington this 17th day of September 1958
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby further amends the Order in Council dated the 20th day of April 1926 and published in the Gazette on the 13th day of May 1926, authorising the Tauranga Electric Power Board to use electric lines within the Tauranga Electric Power District and outer area of such district, as amended by the Order in Council dated the 21st day of February 1927 and published in the Gazette on the 24th day of the same month, at page 502, and further amended by the Order in Council dated the 10th day of August 1949 and published in the Gazette on the 25th day of the same month, at page 1751, by revoking the said Order in Council dated the 20th day of April 1926 in so far as it operates as a licence to use electric lines within the areas described in the Schedule hereto.

(2) Three areas adjoining the Borough of Tauranga as hereinbefore defined situated between the right bank of a former channel of the Kopurererua River and the right bank of the present channel of the said river, the said areas being more particularly delineated by the plan marked S.H.D. 419 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
