Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Blenheim

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of September 1958.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Marlborough Land District containing 37·87 perches, situated in the Borough of Blenheim, being Lot 1, D.P. 2325, being subdivision of part Lot 12, D.P. 2021, being part Section 6, District of Omaka. Formerly part certificate of title, Volume 51, folio 193, Marlborough Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 12th day of September 1958.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway at Petone to the Purposes of a Street

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a street and that the said street shall be under the control of the Petone Borough Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 30·55 perches.

Railway land being Lot 6, D.P. 19440, being part Section 2, Hutt District, Borough of Petone.

Additional Land at Westshore Taken for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of additional land taken:

0 0 5·5 Part Lot 10, L.T. plan 9649.
0 0 1·4 Part Lot 11, L.T. plan 9649.

Both being part Town Section 263, Westshore.

Situated in the City of Napier. (S.O. 3074.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15586 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Varying Orders in Council Setting Apart Māori Freehold Lands as Maori Reservations

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 10th day of September 1958

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies the Orders in Council set out in First Schedule hereto and affecting the Maori freehold lands described in the Second Schedule hereto by declaring that as and from the date hereof the purposes for which the said lands are set apart shall be the upkeep and improvement of the marae “Waiokura” in the Maniaia district, the entertainment of visitors to such marae, and the maintenance of the urupas of the Ngatitu hapu of the Ngati Ruahine tribe.
