Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution
Pursuant to section 269 of the Companies Act 1955, notice is hereby given that on 29 August 1958, by an entry in the shareholders minute book as provided by section 362 of the Companies Act 1955, the following special resolutions were duly passed:
"(1) That the company by reason of its liabilities cannot continue its business and will forthwith proceed to wind up its affairs.
"(2) That Raymond John Bartlett, of Dunedin, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company."

Notice of Meeting of Creditors
Pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, notice is hereby given that a meeting of creditors of the Brown and Brook Co. Ltd. (in liquidation) will be held in the Chamber of Commerce Board Room, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 9 September 1958, at 10.30 a.m.
The purposes of this meeting are:

  1. To receive the statement of the position of the company's affairs.
  2. If it is the wish of the creditors to appoint a committee of inspection.
  3. To confirm the appointment of the liquidator as made by the members.

CRANES RENTAL LTD.

Notice of Voluntary Winding Up
In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Cranes Rental Ltd.
Notice is hereby given that the following special resolution was duly passed by Cranes Rental Ltd. on the 20th day of August 1958 by means of an entry in the minute book of the company, signed by all the members of the company, and I hereby certify that the said resolution following is an exact copy of the said special resolution as so recorded in the minute book of the company:
"Resolved as a special resolution:
"1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That Mr Wilfred George Watts, of New Plymouth, public accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.
"3. That the remuneration of the liquidator shall be a fee for his time and attendances in accordance with the scale approved and fixed for the New Zealand Society of Accountants for secretary and accounting work."

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION FOR VOLUNTARY WINDING UP
In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Waipawa Shingle Co. Ltd.
Notice is hereby given that by a duly signed entry in the minute book of the above-named company on the 1st day of September 1958, the following special resolution was passed by the company, namely:
"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that John Robert Sloan, of Messrs McCulloch, Butler, and Spence, public accountants, Waipawa, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company."

NOTICE TO CREDITORS TO PROVE DEBTS OR CLAIMS
In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Waipawa Shingle Co. Ltd.
Notice is hereby given that the undersigned, the liquidator of Waipawa Shingle Co. Ltd., which is being wound up voluntarily, does hereby fix the 30th day of September 1958 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 308 of the Companies Act 1955 or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before the debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to the distribution.

Notice is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 25th day of August 1958, presented to the said Court by William Stewart Watson, of Ohakune, beekeeper. And that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court, sitting at Wellington on the 17th day of September 1958, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

ADVERTISMENT OF CANCELLING

Notice is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 8th day of September 1958, cancelled the registry of St. Mary’s Branch, No. 510, a branch of the New Zealand District of Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No. 198/50), held at Geraldine, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

RAUPO DRAINAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Raupo Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the Raupo Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a staff house, the said Raupo Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Board’s area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
