Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

That Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 29th day of April 1949* which relates to part of the Palmerston-Alexandra State Highway No. 77 referred to in the said Warrant as the Alexandra-Springvale Main Highway No. 127 in Vincent County is hereby revoked.
The portion of road specified in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.
The portions of road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Alexandra Borough—

That portion of the Palmerston-Alexandra State Highway No. 77 from its junction with Station Street to the north-eastern boundary of Alexandra Borough.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Alexandra Borough—

That portion of the Palmerston-Alexandra State Highway No. 77 from its junction with Station Street to the north-eastern boundary of Alexandra Borough.

SITUATED within Vincent County—

That portion of the Palmerston-Alexandra State Highway No. 77 from its junction with Coal Pit Road to the north-eastern boundary of Alexandra Borough.

That Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 23rd day of March 1949* which relates to an area at Omakau in Vincent County is hereby revoked.
The portion of road specified in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.
The portion of road specified in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Vincent County—

That portion of Harvey Street at Omakau from its junction with the Palmerston-Alexandra State Highway No. 77 to a point 16 chains north of the said junction.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Vincent County—

That portion of the Palmerston-Alexandra State Highway No. 77 at Omakau from a point 24 chains north-east of its junction with Harvey Street to a point 8 chains south-west of its junction with Hindon Street.
