Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for a site for a Land and Survey office over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 280, situated in the Borough of Greymouth: Area, 1 acre and 14 perches, more or less.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for a site for a lighthouse over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece or parcel of land situated at and near Puysegur Point, Preservation Inlet; bounded towards the east by a straight line commencing at a point at high-water mark on the beach in Otago Retreat, the said point being distant 50 chains in a straight line from the Trig. Station on Coal Point, and running 2 miles in a south (true) bearing; towards the north-east by a straight line (taken from the southern extremity of the said line 2 miles long) on a south 40° east (true) bearing, to high-water mark on the sea coast; towards the south, west, and north by high-water mark on the sea coast round Windsor, Puysegur and Coal Points, back to the point aforesaid on the beach in Otago Retreat. As set out in Gazette, 16 September 1875, page 604.

Licensing Mr W. C. Duffill to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of Lake Wanaka as a Site for a Pipeline

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Walter Charles Duffill (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Lake Wanaka as shown on plan marked M.D. 10438 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a pipeline as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be one pound (£1) and the annual sum so payable one pound (£1).

  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of August 1958.

Vesting the Management of the Wharf at Maraetai in the Manukau County Council and Prescribing Dues for the Use Thereof

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby vests in the Manukau County Council (hereinafter called the Council, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) the management of the wharf at Maraetai, as shown on approved plan marked M.D. 2121 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such vesting to be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto; and prescribes that the dues and rates specified in the Second Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the Council for the use of the said wharf.

FIRST SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS OF MANAGEMENT

  1. The vesting of the said wharf is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of vesting shall be 14 years from the 11th day of September 1957.

  3. The annual sum payable by the Council shall be 1s., payable on demand.

  4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall deposit such ballast above high-water mark or at such place as may be approved by the Minister, or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

SECOND SCHEDULE

DUES AND RATES

Wharfage

THE master of every vessel shall pay to the Council for the use of such wharf:

On every ordinary passenger or cargo steamship or auxiliary vessel over 5 tons register, per quarter or part of a quarter £ s. d.

Passenger Wharfage

For every passenger landed on the said wharf from any vessel or by means of a boat or other tender from any vessel lying away from such wharf, the sum of 3d. shall be paid by the owner of the vessel from which the passenger is landed to the Council immediately on the landing of such passenger. The master of any such vessel landing passengers as aforesaid shall furnish to the Council a certified statement of the number of passengers so landed.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Wellington for an Aerodrome

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for an aerodrome; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land set forth the same in writing and send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
